Winter sports - Selection of documents from the Archives départementales de la Haute-Garonne
Description
This dataset offers a selection of 10 digitized documents on the theme of winter sports and leisure in the Pyrenees, shots mainly taken in Luchon, in the south of the department of Haute-Garonne.
These documents come from the [collection of the Labouche brothers, a set of postcards and original photographs] (https://archives.haute-garonne.fr/n/le-fonds-labouche/n:174), purchased as such from the publisher by the Departmental Council in 1993 (General Council until 2015). Dating mainly from the first half of the 20th century, it allows visitors to discover life in the towns, villages and countryside of the Occitanie region, but also in certain departments of the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region and even in Spain.
It is the teams of the Departmental Archives of Haute-Garonne who preserve, study, digitize these rare and precious documents while enriching this fund over time (donations, purchases, loans ...). They take great care in order to benefit everyone and offer **this first small thematic selection on winter sports in the Pyrenees** , when the climate of the time was particularly generous in delivery of flakes.
For the first time these digitized documents are offered to you under [open license version 2.0 Etalab] (https://data.haute-garonne.fr/page/licence/) which gives a great freedom of reuse to those who will be able to seize them.
