Description
This dataset provides **photos of certain exhibits of the case referenced 2 B 10795** of [data set Bags for trial of the Parliament of Toulouse, Lot 02](https://data.haute-garonne.fr/explore/dataset/sacs-a-proces-du-parlement-de-toulouse-lot-02/information). These photos were taken by the teams of the [Archives départementales de la Haute-Garonne](https://archives.haute-garonne.fr/).
** Description of the case:** On 8 November 1785, complaint to the capitouls, following a traffic accident, of Mademoiselle SARAGNET, widow LAVIGNE, chevrotier, against Jean Louis MARCHAND, son of a chevrotier of Toulouse, and Hyacinthe CATENAC, son of a notary of Colomiers. Mounted on a donkey, the elderly widow LAVIGNE went to Colomiers for her harvest. A horse, led by the young Merchant, with behind him the young CATENAC, surpassed him at a sharp pace, frightening the donkey. The widow LAVIGNE found herself on the ground, caught in the donkey’s belts, and dragged to the ground. She had a damaged knee, thigh and arm. Sentence 19 December 1785: Jean Louis MARCHAND and Hyacinthe CATENAC jointly and severally ordered to pay £300 in damages and to pay the costs.
