Description
The Border of the Slovak Republic data set contains a class of objects, the Slovak Republic, which interprets the area of the state border. The state border is an area that vertically crosses the boundary lines along the earth's surface and separates the territory of the Slovak Republic (SR), its airspace, the space below the earth's surface, above-ground and underground structures and facilities of all kinds from the territory of neighboring states. It defines the unified and indivisible territory of the Slovak Republic in which the state exercises its sovereign state power. Slovakia is bordered by five countries: Czech Republic, Hungary, Republic of Poland, Republic of Austria and Ukraine. The object is represented by a vector spatial component and a descriptive component that contains qualitative and quantitative information defined in the Catalogue of Object Classes ZBGIS (KTO ZBGIS) available at www.geoportal.sk. The Slovak Republic object class is provided in four generalization stages as appropriate for the selected display scale.
