WMS View Service - Historical Map of Military Mapping III
Description
The web mapping service shows the mapping work of the Third Military Mapping at a scale of 1:25 000 from the period 1875-1883 and reambulated in 20. 50s of the 20th century. Map materials were provided from the archives of the Topographical Institute in Banská Bystrica. Map sheets were scanned in 2007 at the Slovak Environment Agency (SAŽP) in Banská Bystrica with a resolution of 400 DPI scanning density in black and white and grey (grayscale) color depth in TIFF format. The map sheets were transformed into the S-JTSK coordinate system by the elastic transformation method in 2016 in cooperation with SAŽP in Banská Bystrica, STU Bratislava and VÚGTK Zdiby.
