Spatial dataset of changes in the coast of the Lithuanian Sea, the shores of the western shore of the lagoon and the depths of sea shallows
Description
The data is based on remote sensing and modelling of the elevations of the coastal beach and the protective ridge. The annual spatial remote sensing data are compared with spatial measurements from previous years. The resulting differences in elevation reflect changes in the condition of the sea shore. The points on the map indicate the centre of the measurement area, with measurements taking place in the Melnrage Recreation Area, Giruliai Recreation Area, Seaside Regional Park, Palanga Recreation Area, Šventoji Recreation Area and the Būtingė Geomorphological Reserve.
The collection consists of 4 layers:
1. Landscape monitoring, condition (changes) of the sea shores, mainland
2. Landscape monitoring, condition (changes) of sea shores, Curonian Spit
3. Status of shoreline changes, western shore of the Curonian Lagoon.
4. Changes in the depths of the sea coast
