Noise maps of agglomerations (ArcGIS Mapping Service)
Description
View service. Data on environmental noise polluton levels as described in Directive 2002/49/EC (the Environmental Noise Directive). The datasets are provided by the National Public Health Centre. They contain environmental noise contours for the main roads, railways and agglomerations with 100,000 or more inhabitants: Vilnius, Kaunas, Klaipėda and Šiauliai. The data are presented as separate layers for roads, railways and air transport noise. For each mode, two common noise indicators are represented: Lden, to assess annoyance, and Lnight, to assess sleep disturbance. The indicators are measured in decibels and estimated as described in the Annex II of the Environmental Noise Directive.
