Number of conditional farm animals
Description
The dataset contains spatial information on the type and number of contract livestock from the Livestock Register. The Farm Animal Register records farm animals to ensure their traceability and the control of communicable diseases. The objects in the Farm Animal Register are uniquely ear-tagged cattle, sheep, goats, bison, buffalo, microchipped equidae and groups of farm animals. A further 57 species of farm animals, such as pigs, chickens, minks, rabbits, fish, etc., are registered as groups. A contract animal is a contractual unit obtained by multiplying the number of farm animals of the species concerned by a fixed coefficient. It is used for the calculation of payments and emission targets The administrator of the EAA is the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Lithuania, the managers are the State Enterprise Agricultural Data Centre and the State Food and Veterinary Service.
