Spatial data set of geographical area names of the Republic of Lithuania GV_DRLT
Description
The spatial data set of geographical area names (GV_DRLT) of the territory shall contain information on the location of geographical objects on the map and the name of those objects (name spelling, grammatical information, interpretation of the origin of the place name). The GV_DRLT dataset is based on data from the following data providers: the Lithuanian Language Institute, the State Service of Protected Areas, the Department of Cultural Heritage, the Lithuanian Road Administration, the National Land Service, the Council for the Protection of Ethnic Culture, the Lithuanian Geological Service, the Presidium of the Supreme Council of the Lithuanian SSR (GV_DRLT for the addition of settlements cancelled between 1940 and 1990), geoportal.lt users, Instytut badan spraw narodowych (Poland).
