Environmental investments by businesses
Description
A set of data on the environmental costs of businesses. Presented through the dimensions of the type of economic activity, environmental activities and the direction of investments.
The classifications used are:
Classification of economic activities (EERC Rev. 2);
Classification of Environmental Activities and Expenditure (CEPA 2000).
Statistical observation unit: enterprise
Statistical survey population: The survey population shall comprise all public limited liability companies and private limited liability companies operating during the reporting period, state and municipal enterprises, branches of foreign enterprises, agricultural and cooperative companies with 5 or more employees. The study covers mining and quarrying, manufacturing, electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning, water supply, waste water treatment, waste management and remediation, construction, transport and storage activities in line with ECEC Rev. 2.
Geographical coverage: Statistical information is produced at national level.
Time coverage: from 2008, annual.
