Forest Health Monitoring Data

Description

The European Forest Health Monitoring Programme is implemented at two levels. The first level is called regional monitoring of forest health due to its regional nature. The objective of regional forest health monitoring shall be to obtain expeditious information on changes in the state of forests of individual states from a territorial and temporal point of view in order to identify the impact of long-range transboundary air pollutants and other stressors on forests. The data is provided for about 200,000 trees from nearly 16,000 barrels. The main indicators for monitoring the health of Level I forests are: tree species; tree condition, sustainability; tree kraft class; tree mast perimeter 1.3 m above the root neck; tip condition; dry branch content; degree of consistency (pine and fir); needle age (pine); crown vulnerability type; defoliation of the top third of crown; defoliation of the entire lawn; dechromacy of the entire lawn; location of damage in the tree; infringement names; infringements;
