Fault rate (S02) and fault restoration time (S03) quality index
Description
The S02 index expresses the percentage (%) of acceptable fault reports in the total number of connections, and is calculated as the ratio of all acceptable fault reports received by the provider to the average number of connections in the measurement period, times 100.The S03 index expresses the time from the moment an acceptable fault report is received by the service provider until the service or service element is fully restored to normal operating conditions, as they were before the fault occurred.An acceptable fault report is considered to be a complete and accurate report of interrupted or degraded service, made by the customer (or his representative) at the provider's published contact point, attributed to the provider's network or to any interconnected public network, and not proven to be unfounded during the check.The S02 and S03 indices are recorded and presented together.The provider presents the number of acceptable fault reports in absolute number and per connection, the average number of subscriber connections in the measurement period, as well as the 50th and 95th percentiles of fault restoration time, depending on the type of access network and the technologies of telephony connection and Internet access. In the case that the connection service is provided through a mobile network, the provider presents the 50th and 95th percentiles of the fault restoration time for the mobile network and the fixed network.
