R&D expenses per execution sector and source of funding
Description
Internal R&D Expenditure, by source of funding. The official statistical data of R&D expenditure concern the total of the country, with analysis in four sectors of R&D execution: Business Enterprise Sector (BES), Government Sector (GOV), Higher Education Sector (HES), Private non-Profit Sector (PNP). R&D expenditure includes personnel costs, other current expenditure (such as operating expenses - rents, telephones, consumables, travel, subscriptions, etc.), as well as capital expenditure (purchase of equipment, land and buildings). Excluded are R&D activities carried out by entities with assignments to external partners or other entities and are carried out without their substantial involvement (extramural expenditure). The results of the statistical analysis by source of funding are further analyzed in the categories: "Businesses" - with a more detailed classification into private Greek enterprises, enterprises of the wider public sector, "Government Sector" - with a more detailed analysis into Regular Budget, NSRF, Other state sources (excluding NSRF, Regions, Municipalities, own revenues of state entities), "Higher Education Sector", "Private non-Profit Sector" and "Foreign" - with a more detailed analysis into funding from the European Union and other foreign entities.
