The Technical Assistance Service for Purification Station Operators (SATESE)
Since 1998, with the support of the Adour Garonne Water Agency, SATESE has been offering project owners and operators technical support for the operation of collective sewerage systems, with regular monitoring of wastewater treatment networks and plants. Its scope of action, responding to the engineering needs of the territories, makes it possible to limit the impact of domestic pollution on the receiving environment and to act for the return to good status of water bodies.
The Gers department has more than 185 wastewater treatment plants and sewerage systems spread over more than 170 municipalities.
50 % of the Gers population benefits from this service.
These stations have a total processing capacity equivalent to 225000 Equivalents-Habitants (EH). The Auch wastewater treatment plant, with a purifying capacity of 50000 p.e., is the largest in the department.
The SATESE carries out more than 300 visits per year to the treatment plants of Gers.
