This dataset presents the wishes for further study and reorientation in higher education as well as the proposals of the institutions for each training – excluding apprenticeships – at the end of the process of assigning the Parcoursup platform for the 2019 session (from 22 January to 14 September 2019). The data are taken from the Parcoursup 2019 platform and take into account the entire campaign until 14 September 2019. * * * * The Parcoursup application is the national pre-registration platform set up by the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation allowing students to apply for entry into higher education. It covers all candidates who have at least one approved wish for guidance in the main and/or complementary phase, out of the 11588 training courses offered outside of apprenticeships. It covers 937332 candidates. A subset of data relates specifically to the 652865 neo-bacheliers among these candidates. The information is accessible according to the host institution and the training: * The name of the establishment and its n°UAI * The region, the academy and the institution’s department * The requested, aggregated and detailed training * The number of places (reception capacity) * Number of vows received by sex and bachelor’s series * The number of greetings classified by the institution of the host training * The number of proposals made * The number of proposals made on the various key dates of the campaign and which will then be accepted * The number of admissions by sex, the baccalaureate series and the mention obtained * The rank of the last called among the applications in the main phase * The number of high school fellows for terminals and higher education for students in reorientation * The number of candidates admitted to BTS or CPGE from their high school (i.e. the high school where they were enrolled in terminals) It thus makes it possible to observe for each training present in Parcoursup and for each host institution the request and satisfaction of it; the profile of the candidates and that of the admitted as well as other results at the end of the assignment process. **Parcoursup is the national internet portal for pre-registration in higher education. In 2019, some institutions still recruit outside the Parcoursup assignment process: Paris Dauphine University, a large part of business schools, some engineering schools, IEPs, some private or specialised schools (art, architecture, paramedical,...). These courses integrate Parcoursup for the 2020 campaign.** **Parcoursup is for anyone who wishes to enroll in a first year of higher education. This mainly includes neo-Bachelors, reorientation students and foreign students. They must formulate and confirm wishes to receive an assignment. A candidate can make up to 10 non-hierarchical vows in the main phase. Attention, for some training courses, the wishes can be multiple: each multiple vow is composed of sub-wishes that each correspond to a formation in a given institution. Thus, are represented graphically for each detailed training, the reception capacity, the number of wishes made by the candidates in a training course, the number of admission proposals made by the institution on that training, the rank of the last called in the main phase, and the number of candidates who have accepted this proposal in all phases of the procedure. These main indicators are complemented by a graph showing the pace at which candidates enrolled in training have had this training offered to them. Finally, a zoom is made on the profile of the neo-bacheliers who have accepted the proposal for admission of the training: bachelor’s series, baccalaureate mention, scholarship or not, geographical origin. This dataviz is intended to be a complementary tool to help high school students applying on Parcoursup, allowing them to identify a number of synthetic characteristics on each course, reflecting the profiles of the admitted as well as the pace at which the admitted were, during the procedure, offered the training in fine chosen.
