Pathways of bachelors enrolled for the first time in PACES

Description

The indicators are based on data from the Student Monitoring Information System (SISE), which lists enrollees (SISE Enrolments). The field covers all French universities (including the University of Lorraine which became a major institution in 2011, the University Institute of Albi, the CUFR of Mayotte and the University of French Polynesia but not including the University of New Caledonia (data not available in 2015-2016)). These indicators are calculated on the basis of administrative enrolment, and not on the basis of the actual attendance of the student. As a result, they can be negatively biased. ### Second year in one or two years #### PACES The scope of the indicators consists of the 2014 bachelors enrolled in 2014-2015 in the First Common Year of Health Studies (PACES) in public higher education. The indicators are calculated by referring to student numbers: Base (denominator): field students enrolled in PACES during 2014-2015; Transition to second year (numerator): basic students (denominator) enrolled, regardless of the host institution, in the second year of the first cycle of studies in medicine (PCEM2), dentistry (dental), pharmacy or maieutics (midwife): during 2015-2016 (one-year transition); in the year 2016-2017 (transition in two years). Repetition (numerator): Basic students (denominator) re-enrolled in PACES in 2015-2016, regardless of the host institution.
