Higher education institutions labeled “generation 2024”
Description
The programme to support the organisation of the Olympic and Paralympic Games in Paris in 2024, “Sports at the Service of Society”, implemented by the government in 2017, entailed the creation of a Generation 2024 label for schools and universities. Its objectives are to develop structuring projects with sports clubs in the territory, to participate in Olympic and Paralympic promotional events, to adapt the courses of high-level athletes and to open up the sports facilities of the establishments. The guiding principles underpinning it are to encourage the volunteering of schools and institutions to develop sports practice, to encourage the initiative of institutions and to encourage appropriate adaptation to local specificities, and to strengthen the enrolment of physical activity and sport in student training.
The request for the labeling of establishments is made via an entry on the dematerialised form: [demarches-simplifiees.fr/commencer/generation2024superieur](s) Compliance with the specifications of the label for higher education is validated by the Generation 2024 academic referents and the label awarded by the rector.
