This dataset presents the final recruitments and departures of incumbent or permanent staff of the main public research bodies, by gender, status, body/category of staff; from 2014 to 2020.
The data come from the annual “Advanced Science Employment Scoreboard” survey of the main research organisations: the 6 public scientific and technological institutions (EPSTs), the 6 main industrial and commercial establishments dedicated to research (EPIC: CEA – Civil, CIRAD, CNES, IFREMER, IFPEN and ONERA) and Instituts Pasteur-Paris and Curie (the two main non-profit institutions, NPIs, still called FRUP – recognised foundations of public utility). Bringing together 96 % of the staff of research organisations, the survey makes it possible to establish representative trends in employment and employment flows in all organisations.
These data relate to the recruitment and departure of permanent staff, incumbents or permanent staff of EPSTs (excluding IFSTTAR), the 6 main research EPICs (excluding BRGM) and the Pasteur and Curie institutes. Recruitments include internal and external ITA competitions, Sauvadet competitions, CR and DR competitions, other incumbent recruitments and CDI (transformations from CDD to CDI, tenure of CDD disability; excluding resumption after leave or availability, reception on secondment, return after secondment, change of category, reception in paid CDI from another body). Departures include early retirements and terminations and other permanent departures (death, resignation, abandonment, dismissal, out-of-office employment, no resumption after leave or availability, probationary departures, conventional termination). Excludes TECs, secondment, end of secondment, statutory integration of another body. Following revisions of trade agreements, the responses of the CNES and Institut Pasteur present changes in the distribution of support staff among researchers: for the CNES, between 2017 and 2018, for the Institut Pasteur, between 2016 and 2017.
