Total number of charging points in France

Description

This dataset shows the total number of charging points in France (including Corsica and DROM-COM). These data are published in the national grid. The charging points are materialized by a socket base on which an electric vehicle can potentially connect. A charging station may have one or more charging points. The data presented divide the charging points into three types: * The "open to the public" charging points correspond to the charging points accessible in shops (supermarket, car dealership...), parking, public sites or road stations. * The "private" (or "residential") charging points are private charging points located in the collective residential (buildings, condominiums ...) or individual (flags). * "Company" charging points are private charging points located in companies and reserved for the activity of the company or the charging of employees' electric vehicles. Estimates of the number of charging points installed in households and businesses are based on the results of surveys of EV owners incorporating the type of dwelling, the rate of equipment in charging solutions and the charging habits of electric vehicle users. These analyses are then cross-referenced with the number of plug-in electric and hybrid vehicles owned by individuals and businesses. The data on the ‘private’ and ‘company’ charging points are a reconstruction of the existing one built by Enedis on the basis of assumptions.
