Profile coefficients

Description

A profile reflects a form of consumption or production, i.e. how an average customer consumes or produces electricity over time. The published data correspond to the values of the national profiles built by Enedis and validated by the Commission for the Regulation of Energy, with a view to drawing up balance sheets of regulatory half-hour energies (re-establishment of flows) used for the production/consumption balance essential for maintaining the electricity grid. The dataset is updated weekly, with a history of up to 5 years. The profile of a category of customers is constructed from individual curves collected from a panel of representative sites, and can exist in two versions: static and dynamic. For a given category of customers: **1.** “static” values, determined from predefined mean coefficients, model how an average customer in this category consumes or produces electricity over time at reference weather conditions (value “adjusted special days”) and realised (value “adjusted special days and weather”). They are used for the Ecarts and Recotemp processes of flux reconstitution, for unenergised profiles. The reference weather conditions correspond to the “normal temperature”Note 1 for the consumption profiles, the clear sky for the photovoltaic production profile (PRD3). The weather conditions achieved correspond to the “temperature realised”Note 2 for the consumption profiles, the “solar radiation realised” for the photovoltaic production profile (PRD3) **2.** The “dynamic” values are much more accurate since they are adapted per half hour according to measured power for a panel of representative sites. They have been used since 1 July 2018 for the Recotemp process, and since 4 July 2020 also for the Ecart process, for the dynamic profiles. These values are accompanied by two confidence indices (each ranging from 0 to 100) reflecting their quality level \- “weight dispersal” indicator (INDIC_DISPERS_POIDS_DYN) informing about the level of robustness of the calculation \- “accuracy” indicator (INDIC_PRECISION_DYN) informing about the amount of data used A level of 100 indicates that the level of quality is in line with the expected (concerted and defined with market participants) Find out more about the rules on the balance profiling and responsible mechanism: [2022-04-01_REGLES_MA-RE_SECTION_2_E_7428_en.pdf](https://www.services-rte.com/files/live/sites/services-rte/files/documentsLibrary/2022-04-01_REGLES_MA-RE_SECTION_2_F_7428_fr) Note 1: National temperature, calculated by a weighted aggregation of temperature data measured for a basket of 32 cities. Note 2: Average or “normal seasonal” temperature established for a period of 10 years according to temperatures observed over a period of 30 years.
