The programmes define, for each cycle, the essential knowledge to be acquired during the cycle as well as the methods to be assimilated. They are the national framework within which teachers organise their teachings taking into account the learning rhythms of each student. »_

Cycle 3 corresponds to the classes of CM1, CM2 and 6th. Cycle 4 corresponds to classes of 5th, 4th and 3 rd. The terminal cycle corresponds to the first and terminal classes.
