College remoteness index 2019-2021
Description
Since 2018, the DEPP calculates each year a remoteness index for each college. | `date_modif` | | `date` | It is obtained by means of a Principal Component Analysis (PCA).
The variables used to calculate the index capture different dimensions of the geographical remoteness of colleges and correspond, for the most part, to the distance between the college and a point of interest (place of residence of students, certain training courses, equipment, etc.).
Until 2021, these distances were calculated as the crow flies and the distance index for colleges is 0 on average. It is negative for the less distant colleges and positive for the more distant colleges.
