Source: MENJS-MESRI-DGRH-B2 First degree teachers are recruited through an academic competition. They are assigned to an internship in one of the departments of the academy where they passed the competition, depending on their preferences and ranking rank. Once established, if they wish to change departments afterwards, they must participate in the interdepartmental movement. No change of department can be imposed on them. Participants in the movement fill in an orderly list of departments in which they wish to be assigned. These applications are classified on the basis of a scale taking into account both the personal situation of the staff member (removal of the spouse and/or children, request for simultaneous transfer, disability, request made under the centre of material and moral interests [CIMM] in overseas departments and regions), his current assignment (exercise in an urban area with particularly difficult social and security problems, exercise in school under the REP and REP+ devices) and his previous requests for mobility (even first wish repeated consecutively). Candidates with the highest scale obtain their transfer, depending on the reception capacities defined in each department. If the teacher’s scale does not allow him to obtain one of the expressed wishes, he does not change his department. Guyana, Guadeloupe, Martinique, Réunion and Mayotte participate in the national movement. Requests for assignment or making available in overseas communities shall be subject to specific procedures. The assignment to a school takes place in a second stage and is not the responsibility of the head office.
