Description

Departmental social indicators (DSIs) form the common basis of an information system shared between national and departmental levels in the main areas of departmental social action. The main departmental benefit for the elderly is the Personalised Independence Allowance (APA). It is paid to people aged 60 and over assessed in a situation of loss of autonomy, to whom help is recognized as necessary to perform the essential acts of life. This is followed by social housing assistance (ASH), which is a residential care assistance for elderly people with insufficient resources and those of food obligated persons, and which can be the subject of an appeal on succession. Finally, the Departmental Council also pays household help.
