The staff of the departmental social and medico-social action

Description

National and departmental historical series on the number and characteristics of recipients of departmental social assistance (older people, disabled people, child welfare) since 1996 have been made available here. These data are taken from the Social Assistance Survey, an annual survey carried out with departmental councils, which collects aggregated data on the beneficiaries and expenditure of social assistance benefits falling within the remit of the departments.The data are made available here by year and in long series on the number of employees of the department’s social and medico-social work in active employment and paid at 31 December of the year. These data are taken from the [Social Assistance Survey with departmental councils](https://drees.solidarites-sante.gouv.fr/sources-outils-et-enquetes/lenquete-aide-sociale-aupres-des-conseils-departementaux), carried out each year by DREES, which collects data on beneficiaries of social assistance, expenditure and staff of social and medico-social work. It also covers the activity of maternal and child protection services (MICs).
