Legal rules for access to public documents
Description

[@docs](https://francearchives.fr/@docs/) is a tool for explaining the right of access to easy-to-use public documents, designed by the Interministerial Service of Archives de France.
@docs is organised by categories of documents (building permit, medical record, birth certificate...), divided into major themes (taxation, justice, health, etc.) and is addressed to:
* to the user who is not familiar with the archives but who encounters the punctual need, for an administrative process or personal research, to access a public document.
* administrations that would be confronted with a request for access: public archival services or, for the most recent documents, any public service.
**Descriptive of wording:
** \- General typology: field of activity, type of file or type of information
\- Fine typology: subdivision of the field of activity, type of document and/or additional information
\- Deadline: position of the document in relation to the period of free communication determined by the Heritage Code, in relation to a time limit determined by other texts or in the light of other criteria, or lack of a time limit (communicability from the creation of the document)
\- Identity of the applicant: status of the applicant in relation to the documents requested where the documents are not freely communicated to any person who so requests
\- Consultation: consultation of the document in an administration, a community, a public institution, a public archive, etc.
\- Possibility to obtain a copy: possibility of obtaining a copy pursuant to Article L. 311-9 of the Code of Relations between the Public and the Administration or other legislative or regulatory provisions
\- Appeal: possibility and nature of appeal in case of refusal of communication and/or copying
\- Possibility of using CADA: possibility of appealing to the Commission for Access to Administrative Documents pursuant to Articles L. 342-1 and L. 342-2 of the Code des relations between the public and the administration
