List of Museums of France
Description
This dataset reflects the **official list** of institutions with the designation “Museum of France” within the meaning of the Heritage Code. This list is administered by the Department of Museums of France (Directorate-General for Heritage and Architecture).
It is updated at least once a year, depending on the opinions given by the High Council of Museums of France, on the attribution, change or withdrawal of the name “Museum of France”.
