Protocols for handing over the archives of presidential and ministerial cabinets 1976-2020
Description
Concluded between the Interministerial Service of Archives of France (Ministry of Culture) and the holders of the archives within the Presidency of the Republic and the Government, the surrender protocols clarify the conditions for the processing, preservation and access of these archives with the aim of framing and facilitating their collection.
The dataset exhaustively identifies protocols for each government from 1976 to 2020 to meet the needs of archivists and researchers alike. It will be updated regularly.
The following data shall be identified: name and dates of term of office of the President; the Prime Minister’s name and terms of office; name, dates of mandate and function of members of government; existence and date of archive delivery protocols.
The dataset is complemented by a historical and legal presentation text on protocols.
