Local government libraries: addresses and activity data
Description
**Data from local government libraries as at 31/12/2022.**
This dataset brings together the addresses of municipal, inter-municipal and departmental libraries, as well as the indicators of “Surface”, “Hourly Amplitude”, “Number of employees” and “Number of volunteers” for the year 2022.
The information available in this dataset comes from the annual statistical survey conducted by the Book and Reading Department of the Ministry of Culture for the year in question, in partnership with departmental libraries. Gaps may remain.
For the “Surface” indicator, the unit is the square meter. The hourly amplitude is equal to the usual weekly opening hours of the reading place.
Note, following the change in the model of library activity data collection, which occurred in 2020, some indicators can be filled in at the reading location or at the network level. This is the case for the fields “Number of employees” and “Number of volunteers”. However, the data available in this game are only those that have been filled in at the reading places.
