Universal service public pay telephones
Description
The last dataset was published for 2021. That dataset arose from the imposition of a universal service obligation to provide public pay telephones, which is no longer imposed. The published list of VTAs and similar technical means is a record only of those VTAs that are included in the so-called universal service and their provision is therefore imposed by a special decision imposing an obligation to provide a part service within the universal service – VTA services or other similar technical means enabling access to a publicly available telephone service. The VTA register in question is annexed to this Decision and lists only those VTAs that meet the specified criteria.
