Postal items transported as part of basic services
Description
Number of postal items carried under basic services provided by the postal licence holder. The obligation to provide a set of services referred to as basic (postal) services is imposed only on the designated postal licence holder, at cost-oriented prices. The content of the postal licence granted is the obligation to ensure universal availability of all basic services listed in Section 3 of Act 29/2000 Coll., on Postal Services and on Amendments to Certain Acts (ZPS) throughout the Czech Republic. For the period 2013 - 2017, ZPS holds a postal licence Czech Post, which was granted a postal licence by the Czech Telecommunication Office at the beginning of 2013. Other business operators in the postal services market may also provide basic postal services as part of their offer. The only exception is the service of delivering a sum of money by postal voucher, this service may be provided only by the postal licence holder in accordance with Section 20 of the ZPS.
