System of management and protection of mineral resources in Poland – MIDAS

The task of the MIDAS system is to collect and share information about deposits, mining areas, mining countries, and to gather information on concessions. The system supports the preparation of the Mineral Resource Balance, which is one of the statutory obligations of the PGI-NRI (PGI, Art. 162, section 1, point 5) and is a tool that complies with the provisions of the Act - Art. 162, paragraph. 1, point 8 and the Regulation of the Minister of the Environment of October 16, 2014.

The MIDAS System http://midas.pgi.gov.pl is the primary source of information about Polish mineral raw materials and closely related to mining issues.
