International roaming data

Data collected based on the Roaming Regulation. In accordance with Article 21(2) of the Roaming Regulation 2022/612 and Commission Implementing Regulation 2016/2286, BEREC collects information on: 
•    changes in retail and wholesale charges for regulated voice, SMS, and data roaming services, including wholesale charges applicable to balanced and unbalanced roaming traffic,
•    the impact of the implementation and rollout of next-generation mobile communication networks and technologies on the roaming services market,
•    the use of trading platforms and similar instruments,
•    the development of machine-to-machine roaming services and IoT devices, and
•    the extent to which wholesale roaming agreements cover quality of service and ensure access to different technologies and network generations.

This data forms the basis of BEREC's annual report on roaming.
