Baltic Sea – Pre-Quaternary Geological map, 1:500,000

Pre-Quaternary Geological Map of the Baltic Sea was developed in 2013 at the Department of Sea Geology of the Polish Geological Institute - National Research Institute. This map shows the geological structure and sub-Quaternary surface. Its content is supplemented by geological cross sections and seismic profiles. The study was based on new geophysical measurements with the use of high-resolution reflection seismic, thanks to which the geological structure of the area was recognized to a depth of several hundred meters.
