Orthophotomap standard true oblique

The orthophotomap represents a raster Earth surface image created by processing aerial or satellite images. Pursuant to the Geodetic and cartographic law: the person responsible for the maintenance of the orthophotomap database in Poland is the Surveyor General of Poland. At the moment, the most accurate orthophotomaps available in the National Geodetic and Cartographic Resources (NGCR) represent the area of 3 cm × 3 cm in a single pixel of image.

In accordance with the currently applicable regulation of the Minister of Development and Technology dated December 16, 2022 (Journal of Laws 2023, item 89) regarding databases related to aerial and satellite imagery as well as orthophotomaps and digital terrain models, the orthophotomap database collects orthophotomaps of the following types:

1) standard,

2) true,

3) oblique.
