Natural Monuments of the Valencian Community

Description

Natural Monuments are a type of Protected Natural Area provided for by Article 3 of Law 11/1994 on Protected Natural Areas of the Valencian Community. They are considered "spaces or elements of notorious singularity, rarity or beauty that deserve special protection for their scientific, cultural or landscape values (art. 11 of Law 11/1994). Likewise, and by virtue of the provisions of article 19 of the aforementioned Law, an "Impact cushioning area" is established, consisting of a strip 50 m wide on both sides of the central axis of the road (in the case of a linear space). The Natural Monuments are delimited based on the official autonomic cartography of greater scale
