Annual Average Daily Intensity (ADI) of traffic by sections. Autonomous road network of the Autonomous Community of Valencia (2009-2023)

Description

Historical set of data on traffic density in the regional network of the Autonomous Community of Valencia. Each layer includes the final calculation of the Average Daily Intensities (MDI) of all the road sections of the regional network, as well as the percentage corresponding to the traffic of heavy vehicles, generated for a specific year, starting the data collection in 2009 to the present (2023). The IMD is defined as the total number of vehicles that pass through a cross-section of the road during a year divided by the number of days of the year, the result being the traffic corresponding to a day that is the average of all the days of the year. This information is represented by numerical ranges. Each record contains a reference to the identifier of the road section, information on the measurement points, the type of measure, and the indicators related to the Average Daily Intensity (MDI) and the percentage corresponding to heavy-duty vehicle traffic. These data come from the seating plan that is developed annually in the Mobility Services Management Center of the Generalitat Valenciana (CEGESEM), and is the basic cartography used in the intensities maps
