Geological Cartography of the Valencian Community. Scale 1:350,000

Description

Geological cartographic base of the Valencian Community called GeoCV350, created in the framework of collaboration, between the Geological and Mining Institute of Spain (IGME) and the Cartogràfic Valencià Institute (ICV). It consists of the following layers of information: - Geological domains: Polygon layer that contains the characteristic geological regions in the Valencian Community and that presents the following domains from north to south: Cordillera Ibérica and Cordillera Bética, which is in turn composed of the Prebetic, Subbetic domain and the Alpujárride Complex. - Geological units: Polygon layer containing chronostratigraphic units with the following information: domain, rank, description, name, surface, lower, upper and representative age. - Folding structures: Linear geometry layer containing the characterization of the fold axes typified in: anticlinals, supposed anticlinals, lying anticlinals and sinclinals. - Geological contacts and faults: Layer of lines containing the nature of the contacts that limit the geological units typifying them in: normal or concordant contacts, discordant contacts, mechanical contacts and the various types of faults that affect them by classifying them into faults, alleged (hidden) faults, reverse faults or rides, and alleged reverse faults or rides.
