Net cost deviation total (excluding LSS), percent
Description
Difference in percentage between total net cost and total reference cost for pre-school, after-school, primary school, upper secondary school, individual and family care and care for the elderly, SEK per inhabitant.
In 2015, pre-school and school children’s care were replaced with preschools and after-school centres (i.e. excluding pedagogical care).
Net cost is gross cost less gross revenue. The reference cost is based on net costs and structural variables for the current year. See net cost deviation for each activity area for information on which variables are included in the calculation.
Positive values indicate higher cost than statistically expected and negative values a lower cost than statistically expected.
As of 2019, net cost deviation is calculated in a new way due to changes in cost equalisation. This affects comparability with previous years.
