Bridge and tunnel data - road
Description
The data product consists of Bridge and Tunnel phenomena included in the National Road Database (NVDB) and includes data on overpasses, underpasses and tunnels on road sections. Data can be found at bridges, level crossings, road gates and tunnels. The purpose of this data product is to show where there are structures that allow traffic over or under watercourses, valleys, roads, buildings, railways, pedestrian and bicycle paths or through mountains or soil. The data product consists of phenomena of the type Bridge and Tunnel belonging to the product group NVDB and the product subgroup Road Technology Phenomenon Types in NVDB. The data product consists of phenomena with distributions that are connected to the road network. The data product contains information about crossings, underpasses and tunnels that allow traffic. Occurs, for example, at bridges, level-separated intersections, road gates and tunnels. Only for ‘pass’, ‘tunnel’ and ‘pass/underpass’ constructions the length is indicated. For ‘pass/underpass’ type, the length of the crossing is indicated. The length of the structure is usually measured on the road line. Depending on the type of construction, the length is measured differently.
