Sea territorial boundary (territorial boundary)
Description
A change from the past is the concept of ‘sea border’ replacing ‘territorial border’. Sweden’s maritime territory includes internal waters and the territorial sea. See also the new Act (2017:1272) on Sweden's territorial waters and maritime zones. The following attributes can be found in the point shape file: Serial number_dels - Serial number of the territorial points (TP) of the respective leg. Section - The boundary consists of two solid lines around the mainland and Öland and around Gotland and Gotska Sandön. Serial number_TP - Serial number of significant points on the border of the territorial sea. Latitude & Longitude - All points along the boundary are described by geographical coordinates in latitude and longitude expressed in the SWEREF 99 reference system in degrees and decimal minutes as stated in the law and in decimal degrees. Point type - The following point types exist: • boundary breakpoint, territorial point (TP), • segmented point on a straight geodetic line or on a rhumb line between two breakpoints (MP), • segmented point on a circular arc between two breakpoints (MC), and • point on the midline of the Sound described with the coordinates that on 27 November 2014 represented the presentation of this boundary line in the Maritime Administration’s chart database (ML). Point name - Name in cases where this occurs (applies to agreed points on a national border). Unique ID – A unique ID added by the Swedish Maritime Administration.
