Railway data for noise calculations
Description
The data product Railway data for noise calculations is a compilation of networked railway data for use in noise calculation programs. The data product includes data sets for noise protection, level crossings, track data and planned rail traffic according to the timetable for the year in question. The purpose of the data product is to provide the Swedish Transport Administration with a standardised basis for noise calculations, which in turn provides more efficient and safer handling of information in noise investigations. Data is generated and delivered on the same processes. In the long run, comparability between different noise investigations is also expected to improve. For track-linked data, this means that deliveries to e.g. emergency medical consultants contain the same type of data regardless of which part of the country a noise investigation is carried out and regardless of which client is the customer. The data product Railway-related data for noise calculations is a compilation of data sets for use in noise calculation programs. This data product contains 4 data sets containing noise protection, level crossings, track data and planned rail traffic. For noise calculations in general, track data, road data, elevation data, noise protection data and traffic data are used. Track data and road data are homogenized. The types of phenomena (datasets) in this data product are linked to the Swedish railway network.
