Description
A rest area refers to a side facility for road users' needs for rest, toilet visits, recreation or the like. The Swedish Transport Administration's rest areas must maintain a minimum standard for the extent of equipment at the facility in accordance with guidelines in the VGU. The above constitutes the basic equipment for a rest area and is therefore implicitly included in its definition. The purpose of the data product is to show where there are rest areas along the road network and what equipment is available.
