Description
A railway bridge is a bridge that is burdened by trains. The railway bridge is part of the railway network. The product must contain general information about all railway bridges that are part of the state-owned railway network (classification type Trafikverket's track facility), even if the Swedish Transport Administration does not manage them. In order to be able to find out whether it is possible to pass the railway separately, there is the attribute ‘Type of plane separation’, which may, for example, have values to show plane separation for GC traffic and plane separation for motorised vehicles. One attribute is Combined jvg/road bridge. This means a bridge where road and rail share the carriageway. The data product has stretch distribution and connects to the railway network with reference to the immediately preceding node and the immediately preceding kilometre board with distances in metres to both the start and end position of the section in the direction of the track link. Exceptions: The bridges that the Swedish Transport Administration owns and will manage but which are located at a closed or moved track. These bridges lack location because there is no rail network to connect to.
