NVDB Limited vehicle length
Description
The data product includes traffic rules, issued by regulation or other decision, restricting the length of vehicles or road trains incl. loads to less than otherwise applicable. The data product consists of the phenomenon type Limited vehicle length belonging to the product group NVDB and the product subgroup Traffic rule phenomenon types in NVDB. The data product is registered on the car network. The purpose of the data product is to provide customers with information about road sections where traffic is regulated by specifying the maximum vehicle length. Through this information, traffic with long vehicles can be prevented from taking these roads. Exemptions for certain types of vehicles are possible. Limited vehicle length can be used, for example, to plan forest transport or to show where long vehicles cannot travel.
