The data product consists of the phenomenon type Environmental Zone belonging to the product group NVDB and the product subgroup Traffic Rule Phenomenon Types in NVDB. The data product includes traffic rules on environmental zones. The data product is registered on the car network. The car network includes the reference links where road traffic networks are designated as car networks. The purpose of the data product is to show the delimitation of environmental zones. The data product is derived from existing traffic rules and can be used for traffic control. Applications for route planning and navigation prevent vehicles that do not meet certain environmental requirements from travelling in environments where they want to limit air pollution.
