Description
The data product includes roads that have been decided by the Government to be classified as trunk roads and constitute a coherent national trunk road network/main road network. The State, through the Swedish Transport Administration, is the road operator for roads that are part of the main road network and is thereby responsible for planning operations, maintenance and load-bearing capacity, among other things. The national main road network is part of the Swedish main road network and consists of public roads that are of particular importance for the country's welfare development and which must therefore be of a high and even standard. The roads included in the national main road network are financed within the budget of the National Transport System Plan, while the other public roads are included within regional infrastructure plans.
