Road data for transport planning
Description
Road data for transport planning is a refined data product that is generated based on a number of phenomenon types (basic data products). The product is created by inheriting a number of interesting properties from the different basic data products into a common network of links through a process called homogenization. Homogenized data means that the attributes of the constituent phenomenon types apply over an entire segment (link). Where attributes change, the link ends and a new segment begins. What attributes a user needs depends on the type of vehicle and the purpose for which the routing or transport planning is to be done. Road data for transport planning can be experienced very extensively as the product contains data that can be used for all types of vehicles that the attributes have collected.
