Groundwater supply in small reservoirs
Description
The data set Groundwater access in small reservoirs shows a calculation of groundwater access for water supply in Sweden with a focus on small groundwater reservoirs. The calculation is based on a number of assumptions and a relatively clear base material and is associated with uncertainties. SGU considers that the presented calculated groundwater availability may be relevant and useful for comprehensive risk assessment and planning regarding water abstraction from small groundwater reservoirs. However, the SGU considers that the results are generally not sufficiently precise and detailed to assess water availability and risk of water scarcity for individual properties. Groundwater availability in small reservoirs includes a nationwide calculation and the result is presented in the unit l/day/ha (litres per day per hectare) in a grid with cell size of 100x100 m.
