Description

Traffic management system means the technical or manual safety solution used to monitor and control a runway. System H is based on the presence of complete switchgear at the operational sites and line blocking on the line. Operating locations are either guarded or closed. system M Based on the line being monitored by two signallers without the help of line blocking or radio blocking. Operational sites can be monitored using manual methods with the support of simple interlocking, but can also have complete interlocking systems. Operational sites may be unattended, guarded or closed. system S Based on manual monitoring of the line by only one signaller. There are no operational sites, but there are route sites without main tracks. The boundaries of these lines are marked with boards. Inside these paintings, all tracks are sidings. The rest of the line has main tracks, also past other line locations. No train journeys can take place in system S, all movements on the line shall take place as a lockdown. system R Based on the line and operational sites being monitored by radio blocking. Operational sites are either guarded or closed. system F Based on manual monitoring of the line and operational sites by only one signaller. On the operating sites there are only sidings, and all movements there take the form of visibility movement. System E1 is based on the monitoring of the line and the operational sites using level 1 of the European ERTMS control-command system. E2 is based on the line and operational sites being monitored using level 2 of the European ERTMS control-command system. System E3 is based on the monitoring of the line and the operational sites using level 3 of the European ERTMS control-command system. The operating sites are guarded.
