The data product includes traffic rules on express roads. The data product is registered on the car network. The car network includes the reference links where the road traffic network is designated as the car network. The purpose of the data product is to show where the traffic rule express road applies. Motorways have special signs and special rules whereby only motor vehicles that are not slow-moving are allowed to travel on them. Since the 1990s, most express roads in Sweden have been rebuilt and given central railings, which means that they have become meeting-free, alternately divided into 2+1 lanes. The data product can be used for traffic control by steering vehicles as far as possible to express roads and motorways in route planning and navigation applications.
